The Bass High School class of 1961 is planning a 40 plus reunion on May 4, 2002
6:30 PM to 1:00 AM. There will be dinner and dancing at the "Rue De Paris" Restaurant on North Highland… Group Rates are available for lodging at the The Highland Inn. Partying can continue there, as the Inn is right next door. The planning committee does know that this was "The Shady Rest Inn" and yes it was considered a "Flop House" with a lot of history. Well baby you ought to see her now. The Inn has been completely remodeled and is now referred to as "A European-Style Hotel in Atlanta's Historic Virginia Highland Neighborhood". How does that sound? During our first planning meeting, each Committee member met with the management and took a tour of the Inn… It was unanimous. So how could "Six Lovely Ladies" from Bass be wrong…(Even though we had heard a lot of stories about her-----just makes for a little History). You will need to make your own reservations. Be sure to mention that you are with the 1961 Bass High Reunion group to receive the discounted price. The discount is available because we are booking a block of rooms in advance. Plan to spend the night because there are fun events planned through-out the weekend -. touring Bass High Lofts, Lunch at the Varsity or Manuals, etc. etc. Join us for "Springtime in Atlanta", don’t miss....this is going to be a fun time for all!
The cost of the reunion is fifty dollars per person. This will include Dinner, Dancing, and two drink tickets. The "Rue De Paris" is a small French Restaurant and we are reserving the entire restaurant. This way we will be able to party as much as we like without interrupting anyone. To reserve the restaurant we had to commit for one hundred people. So please send your money as soon as possible. If you would like you can make a deposit now and pay the rest on March 15….
We have a list of 149 Class members and we have sent invitations to 64 people…
However, we are still looking for 70 more class members…. If you have any information on any of the following class members please let one of us know….
